How people think?
Human beings have 2 brains both left and right. While many may argue that we make use of 1 brain more than the other, most of us however use both sides of our brain to aid us. Thinking is a never ending process. It goes on and on inside the human mind. People think by looking at examples, creating models, situations and much more. By creating models, people use it to describe and explain what they are thinking. People also think by reading questions and so on. As individuals, we can help to stimulate our thinking process by reflecting on what have we learnt (example lessons like ID, HCI) and so much more.
How people learn? (In terms of education)
Human beings in general are not very different but only the gender differs. While learning is a process occurring in the brain why are we always made to think one person’s brain works fundamentally differently than another? Also, as students we commonly hear why are you smarter than me and vice versa. Instead of focusing on students learning styles, we should focus on what form of representation best suits the content being learned. (Is it achieved through video, PowerPoint, or even demonstration). For example, instead of thinking some students learn by going through hands on activity, while others do not, we must realize that all students will benefit from concrete representations of concepts. I feel that by emphasizing on concepts, people learn better.
